You can request a lien sale of a vehicle in California if you have performed the following services and have not been paid:
- Mechanical repair of a vehicle (CA Mechanic’s Lien)
- Body shop repair of a vehicle (CA Body Shop Lien)
- Stored a vehicle (CA Storage Lien)
- Vehicle has been abandoned on your property (CA Abandoned Vehicle Lien)
You or your company must have possession of the vehicle to initiate a lien sale in California.
Our Lien Services unit can process the paperwork for a storage or mechanic lien. The turn around time when we receive the initial request is 3 business days. Our cost to submit the lien to the CA DMV is $75.00 per lien.
